Theme: Connecting Well
We are disconnected from each other in many ways. Over the past year, we have struggled with our separation through the Black Lives Matter movement, the COVI-19 pandemic requiring social distancing and shutdowns, as well as deep political stresses and divisions. We are disconnected.
In response to that, we invite you to join us for a special day of encouragement exploring our Connections in Christ. Our featured presenter is Dr. David Anderson, the author of Gracism: The Art of Inclusion. Using grace, a favorite term for Lutherans, Dr. Anderson dynamically inspires leaders about the opportunities we have as Jesus followers to build bridges of connection across the deep divides of race, faith, culture and wealth. Dr. Anderson, senior pastor of Bridgeway Community Church in Maryland and founder and President of the BridgeLeader Network (BLN), served as Willow Creek’s first intern pastor of color and now also consults for corporations and government agencies around the world regarding how to build and maintain cultures of diversity.
While we are frustrated that the pandemic prevents us from connecting in person in Puerto Rico, we are very excited Dr. Anderson’s specialty of connecting well will be immensely timely and helpful through this virtual offering.
As we offered last year, this event will be available for your whole ministry team. Mark your calendars. Save the date and stay tuned as more information will be coming soon!
